Is it really free?

Can I search more than one name?

Absolutely. Brainstorming is the perfect time to use it. Run your whole shortlist and see which names hold up.

If I get a green flag, am I good to go?

A green flag is a great sign, but it's still a preliminary search. Before you invest real money in a name, get an attorney's search. That's what the Trademark Quickie is for.

I already have an LLC with this name. Doesn't that protect it?

Nope. Registering your LLC with the state just reserves the name for your entity in that state. It doesn't give you trademark rights, and it won't stop someone else from using or trademarking it.
