This is just the beginning. As you tell me where you really need help, I'll begin developing content to guide you. You know I love a good guide.
Here's the other thing. I try to be careful about what kinds of questions I answer for non-clients. My awesome friends and community drop into my DMs all the time to ask questions. If they're not a client at Braden Drake Law, I'll typically refer them to blog of mine.
While I dream of some day having Jenna Kutcher level success, the reality is that I'm expecting about 3-10 people to join this Community. So I will invite you to ask me questions whenever you have them. I'm here to help you kickass. Let's make it happen.
Why I'm Creating the community
At my law firm, I have clients who pay me $300 a month to ask questions whenever they have them and to have me personally review and draft their contracts. It's a great service, but it's just not in budget for everyone. I totally get that. I'm also limited to the number of individuals I can help. That's why I wanted to create a program that can scale. My eventual goal will be to get the Community to a few hundred members where I can be the go-to resource to get each person legally legit and tax compliant.
Become a Founding Member
Become a founding member of the Community and lock in your rate for the lifetime of the program. Plus, being a founder is always the most cool. Don't you want to be the most cool (is the peer pressure working)?
Not sure whether you'd get anything from the community? Take 10 minutes to do this exercise. Brainstorm each question you currently have and have recently Googled on the following topics. Trademarks, contracts, client difficulties, copyright issues, quarterly taxes, business licenses, bookkeeping, sales taxes, LLCs, tax returns, business insurance, tax deductions, hiring employees, working with independent contractors. Write down and all the questions you have on those topics. Consider (a) how long it would take you to fully research/handle all of your questions, and (b) contemplate if you believe you'd have piece of mind that you found the right answer after your research. Now consider that most attorneys and CPAs charge between $200-$400 an hour. Now, you can consider whether you think you can derive more than $19 of value per month by joining the community and getting answers to each question you noted. If you already got all this stuff down, no sweat! You're killing it. For everyone else, I'd love to help. II have found that what I really love is educating. That's why I'm beginning to pivot my business model towards online education.
